We derive a coupled-wave theory for backward phase-matched optical parametric amplifiers and oscillators in a dielectric modulated nonlinear optical material. Unlike a forward phase-matched distributed-feedback optical parametric oscillator, a backward oscillator of this type can have high-threshold gap modes at Bragg resonance and low-threshold detuned modes. In addition to the structure feedb...

We study complexified Harmonic Oscillator with a position dependent mass, referred to in the present paper as Exotic Oscillator (EO), in arbitrary dimensions. The real space EO has an interesting dynamics: in the equation of motion the full Hamiltonian operator appears in place of the frequency parameter in a Harmonic Oscillator. We reveal some generic features in the constraint structure of th...

I present a theory of electron dynamics in semiconductors with slowly varying composition. I show that the frequency-dependent conductivity, required for the description of transport and optical properties, can be obtained from a knowledge of the band structures and momentum matrix elements of homogeneous semiconductor alloys. New sum rules for the electronic oscillator strengths, which apply w...

Tool kit is one of learning media that have important role in engineering education, the author has been finished in developing tool kit with oscillator “LC circuit” topic. This oscillator can generate a sinusoidal wave with constant frequency and amplitude. With this tool kit wish the student can develop their skill and applicated in electrical, electronic, communication circuits and systems a...

A piecewise linear oscillator whose oscillation can be completely characterized by algebraic methods is studied. It represents up to the best of authors’s knowledge, the first example where all the oscillation properties can be determined for all the values of the bifurcation parameter, being not a perturbation of the harmonic oscillator. In fact, algebraic expressions for coordinates of repres...

'Fluctuation-induced transitions between coexisting periodic attractors in a periodically driven nonlinear oscillator have been investigated theoretically and by analogue electronic experiment. Calculations and measurements of the corresponding activation energies are in good agreement, and have enabled the position of the kinetic phase transition (KPT) line to be established over its full range.

In this work we review the processes of phase noise and jitter in electronic oscillators and the relationship between the two. Frequency and time domain simulation techniques and results are presented through the study of performance enhancement for a CMOS LC oscillator. The studied enhancements significantly reduce flicker noise upconversion, while the results demonstrate good agreement betwee...

A large number of simultaneous frequency and amplitude data from an electronic chaotic circuit (Chua’s circuit) have been obtained. These acquisitions are validated by plotting the bifurcation diagrams of the experimental data versus the bifurcation parameter. We introduce a topological parallel between the Colpitts oscillator and Chua’s circuit, and look for similar behavior of the frequency f...

Dynamic stabilization of an unstable periodic orbit, a new interesting non-equilibrium phenomenon in driven nonlinear systems, has been experimentally observed in an electronic analog circuit of a driven double-well Duffing oscillator. We suggest that the dynamic stabilization is a generic property of driven nonlinear systems with humped potentials. q 2000 Published by Elsevier Science B.V.

Two-dimensional electronic spectroscopy of Light Harvesting Complex 4 from photosynthetic bacteria reveals excited state dynamics on two timescales and resolves exciton states with little to no oscillator strength. The results suggest a molecular structure in which the pigment dipole organization within the circular complex has more tangential than radial character.
