Plastics and glues are common causes of occupational dermatoses, but only few reports have dealt with patch-test reactions caused by plastic and glue allergens. Patients exposed to plastics and remitted to an occupational dermatology clinic, were patch-tested with 50-53 plastic and glue allergens during a 6-year period. Conventional patch-test techniques were used. The most common causes of all...
Nitrogen doped porous carbon hollow spheres (N-PCHSs) with an ultrahigh nitrogen content of 15.9 wt% and a high surface area of 775 m(2) g(-1) were prepared using Melamine-formaldehyde nanospheres as hard templates and nitrogen sources. The N-PCHSs were completely characterized and were found to exhibit considerable CO2 adsorption performance (4.42 mmol g(-1)).
Three kinds of N-doped mesoporous TiO₂ hollow spheres with different N-doping contents, surface area, and pore size distributions were prepared based on a sol-gel synthesis and combined with a calcination process. Melamine formaldehyde (MF) microspheres have been used as sacrificial template and cetyltrimethyl ammonium bromide (CTAB) or polyvinylpyrrolidone (PVP) was selected as pore-directing ...
P-tert-butylphenol-formaldehyde resin is a widely used adhesive chemical. It is used in a broad range of products and should be kept in mind when encountering children with suspected allergic contact dermatitis. We present a girl who developed contact allergy to p-tert-butylphenol-formaldehyde resin used in orthopedic braces.
Plywood made of poplar are limited to indoor usages since exhibits a rather low natural durability. Recently, wood heat treatments have been applied improve properties such as decay susceptibility and dimensional stability. This study examines the potential exposing plywood treatment extend applications this engineered product outdoor end uses, new markets accordingly. panels were glued with tw...
The retention and adhesion of melamine formaldehyde (MF) microcapsules on a model fabric surface in aqueous solution were investigated using a customised flow chamber technique and atomic force microscopy (AFM). A cellulose film was employed as a model fabric surface. Modification of the cellulose with chitosan was found to increase the retention and adhesion of microcapsules on the model fabri...
Abstract Today there is a great demand in the market of wood-based panels like medium density fibreboard (MDF), plywood and oriented strand board (OSB). These boards provide functionality various industrial fields from building to furniture production. All are produced timber some type binding resin, most often used Europe phenol formaldehyde (FF), isocyanate (MDI) melamine urea (MUF). resins g...
