This scientific report investigates the heat transfer analysis in mixed convection flow of Maxwell fluid over an oscillating vertical plate with constant wall temperature. The problem is modelled in terms of coupled partial differential equations with initial and boundary conditions. Some suitable non-dimensional variables are introduced in order to transform the governing problem into dimensio...

Analysis has been done to investigate the heat generation/absorption effects in a steady flow of non-Newtonian nanofluid over a surface which is stretching linearly in its own plane. An upper convected Maxwell model (UCM) has been utilized as the non-Newtonian fluid model in view of the fact that it can predict relaxation time phenomenon which the Newtonian model cannot. Behavior of the relaxat...

This paper presents a new distribution, the product of mixture between Maxwell-Boltzmann and particular case generalized gamma distributions. The resulting called Scale Mixture Maxwell-Boltzmann, greater kurtosis than recently introduced slash distribution. We obtained closed-form expressions for its probability density cumulative distribution functions. studied some properties moments, as well...

Proportional solenoids are wellknown and used in a wide range of applications today. However, the theory behind the functional principle of proportional magnetic actuators is not very well represented in literature. This paper discusses methods of influencing the characteristic force-strokecurves of magnetic actuators by means of different pole geometries. The conical design of the stator pole,...

A general model of dialton-Maxwell gravity in two dimensions is investigated. The corresponding one-loop effective action and the generalized β-functions are obtained. A set of models that are fixed points of the renormalization group equations are presented. E-mail address: eli @ ebubecm1.bitnet 2 E-mail address: odintsov @ theo.phys.sci.hiroshima-u.ac.jp

The mathematics and physics model of OCT (Optical Current Transformer) with a gapped magnetic ring is briefly discussed in the paper. And some proposals of how to select the magnetic materials and crystals and reduce the stress birefringence of the crystal are also put forward in the paper. Based on the above, an OCT with 1000 A rated current is designed by using the ANSOFT Maxwell tools.

We evaluate the quantum electromagnetic field correlators associated with the electromagnetic vacuum distorted by the presence of two plane parallel conducting walls and in the presence of a conducting wall parallel to a perfectly magnetically permeable one. Regularization is performed through the generalized zeta funtion technique. Results are applied to rederive the atractive and repulsive Ca...

Exact and approximate expressions are established for dissipation, the power of the shear stress at the wall and the boundary layer thickness corresponding to the motion of an Oldroyd-B fluid induced by a constantly accelerating plate. The similar expressions for Maxwell, Newtonian and second grade fluids, performing the same motion, are obtained as limiting cases of our general results. The sp...

This paper presents a series of global three dimensional accretion disk simulations carried out in the cylindrical limit in which the vertical component of the gravitational field is neglected. The simulations use a cylindrical pseudo-Newtonian potential, ∝ 1/(R −Rg), to model the main dynamical properties of the Schwarzschild metric. The radial grid domain runs out to 60 Rg to minimize the inf...
