Different...
In this paper new techniques are developed for the analysis of linear time-varying (LTV) systems. These lead to a formally simple treatment of robust control problems for LTV systems, allowing methods more usually restricted to timeinvariant systems to be employed in the time-varying case. As an illustration of this methodology, the so-called H1 synthesis problem is solved for LTV systems.
The aim of this study is to determine by plain radiography if there is a relationship between lumbosacral transitional vertebrae (LSTV) and low back pain (LBP) The correlation or relationship between LSTV and LBP has been highly controversial. Widely varying and contrasting findings have been reported by various investigators. While some studies have indicated the etiological significance of LS...
This paper analyzes the performance of discrete linear time varying (LTV) control of discrete linear periodically time varying (LPTV) plants for l2 disturbance rejection. It extends the results of [11-13] for linear periodic controllers to general LTV control of LPTV plants. It is shown that LPTV control provides strictly better control performance than linear strictly time varying control for ...
A 36-year-old female presented with low back pain and was admitted. During the anamnesis, she reported having undergone surgery, in the first days of life, for the repair of lumbosacral myelomeningocele and imperforate anus. She had been a full-term infant, born to an adolescent mother who had received no prenatal care. There were no reports of infection, drug use, or exposure to teratogenic ag...
Accepted 6 September 1995 A nine-year-old girl was admitted to our hospital with difficulty in walking in September 1993. On physical examination there was a solid mass of 10 x 10 cm in the lumbosacral region and the patient was unable to walk or stand. Bilateral deep tendon reflexes of the lower extremities were hypoactive and muscle strength was also decreased. There was hypoesthesia at L4, L...
Background: Determination of sex from the skeletal remains is of vital medicolegal importance for establishing the identity of an individual. Aims: To study the sexual differences in the first sacral vertebra (S1) in middle-aged adults through devising new parameters and indices. Materials and Methods: 100 mid-sagittal MR images of lumbosacral region (50 males "35±6 years" and 50 females "32±6 ...
