A buffer allocation algorithm for wormhole routing networks-on-chip was proposed. When the total budget of the available buffering space is fixed, the proposed algorithm automatically assigns the buffer depth for each input channel, in different routers across the chip, according to the traffic characteristics of the target application. The simulation results show that the buffer allocation res...

introduction : the  rapid development  of wireless telecommunication technologies  over the past decades, has led to significant changes in the exposure of the general public to electromagnetic fi elds. nowadays, people are continuously exposed to different sources of electromagnetic fi elds such as mobile phones, mobile base stations, cordless phones, wi-fi routers, and power lines. therefore,...

One of the most critical issues in multiprocessors today is managing the communications among processors. This thesis addresses the programming of systems (such as the NuMesh) that handle routing via high-speed reprogrammable scheduled routers on each node. A portable ‘communications language’, COP, used to express communications requirements, is presented. Using scheduled routers to control da...

We study data on routers topology gathered using IGMP messages. Although this mechanism is limited to multicast routers we show that it allows getting precise information on the local topology of routers. This information is difficult to obtain with classical tools based on traceroute. Moreover its low cost allows to frequently collect data and to study the dynamics of this topology.

In this article, we propose a routing mechanism based on the RPL protocol in wireless network that is equipped with mix of short-range and long-range radios. We introduce Life-OF, an objective function for which uses combination metrics diverse physical layers to boost network's lifetime. evaluate performance Life-OF compared classical MRHOF simulations. Two key indicators (KPIs) are reported: ...

Network on Chip (NoC) is a communication framework for the Multiprocessor System (MPSoC). It router-based system. In NoC architecture, nodes of MPSoC are communicating through network. Different routing algorithms have been developed by researchers, e.g., XY, intermittent DyAD, and DyXY. The main problems in these congestion faults. Congestion faults cause delay, which degrades performance NoC....

introduction: even though there is a high prevalence of carpal tunnel syndrome patients, there are very few reliable papers on the study of normal values and changes in sensory and motor latency parameters of the median nerve in the wrist region on the basis of age of patients .this retrospective study was on the basis of 5 years data (1998 -2003) from the electro diagnostic department of sh. s...

Mobile wireless networks, including IEEE 802.16e wireless metropolitan area networks, are evolving towards all-IP, and accordingly they face the fundamental overhead problem for mobility management. To reduce the handoff overhead of mobile IP, we design a subnet-based network, instead of a pure all-IP network, that primarily uses layer 2 handoff within a subnet. In such a network, we deploy som...

Smartphones become more and more popular over recent years due to their small form factors. However, such mobile systems are resource-constrained in view of computational power, storage and battery life. Offloading resource-intensive tasks (aka mobile cloud computing) to distant (e.g., cloud computing) or closely located data centers (e.g., cloudlet) overcomes these issues. Especially, cloudlet...
