We study the Yang-Lee zeros of a random matrix partition function with the global symmetries of the QCD partition function. We consider both zeros in the complex chemical potential plane and in the complex mass plane. In both cases we find that the zeros are located on a curve. In the thermodynamic limit, the zeros appear to merge to form a cut. The shape of this limiting curve can be obtained ...

Generalizing Milnor’s result that an FTC (finite total curvature) knot has an isotopic inscribed polygon, we show that any two nearby knotted FTC graphs are isotopic by a small isotopy. We also show how to obtain sharper constants when the starting curve is smooth. We apply our main theorem to prove a limiting result for essential subarcs of a knot.

In this paper, a proposed wirelesstransmission model by concatenation of turbo code and precoding of Spiral curve and Dimension Partitioning techniques on QPSK signal through multipath fading channel is introduced. It is a novel method to decrease ISI effect in wireless communications. Simulation results show that Spiral curve precoding with turbo code achieves the best gain at high SNR compare...

The electropolishing behaviour of 73 brass was studied by means of a rotating cylinder electrode (RCE) in a 70 vol % H3PO4 solution at 27 ◦C. Owing to the formation of a blue Cu2+-rich layer on the brass-RCE, an obvious transition peak was detected from kineticto diffusion-controlled dissolution in the anodic polarisation curve. Electropolishing was conducted at the potentials located at the tr...

For FPGA based coprocessors for elliptic curve cryptography, a significant performance gain can be achieved when hybrid coordinates are used to represent points on the elliptic curve. We provide a new area/performance tradeoff analysis of different hybrid representations over fields of characteristic two. Moreover, we present a new generic cryptoprocessor architecture that can be adapted to var...

A method is described whereby a G* planar curve consisting of clothoid (Comu spiral) segments, circular arcs and straight line segments is constructed. The curve passes through given points, is expressed parametrically. and has the attractive feature that the arc length and curvature are piecewise linear functions of the parameter. The given points through which the curve passes must be restric...

We study the dynamics of a point particle in a periodic array of spherical scatterers and construct a stochastic process that governs the time evolution for random initial data in the limit of low scatterer density (BoltzmannGrad limit). A generic path of the limiting process is a piecewise linear curve whose consecutive segments are generated by a Markov process with memory two.

We study the dynamics of a point particle in a periodic array of spherical scatterers, and construct a stochastic process that governs the time evolution for random initial data in the limit of low scatterer density (Boltzmann-Grad limit). A generic path of the limiting process is a piecewise linear curve whose consecutive segments are generated by a Markov process with memory two.

The potential drop across a bipolar membrane was measured as a function of the applied current density. As a result, an inflection point was observed in the obtained current-voltage curve at high current density. This inflection point indicates that at high current densities water supply from outside of the bipolar membrane to the interface between a cation and an anion exchange layer is the ra...

It promotes cardiac efficiency by limiting dilation, maintaining ventricular compliance with preservation of the Starling curve and distributing hydrostatic forces. It aids atrial filling by creating a closed chamber, reduces external friction and acts as a barrier against infection and extension of malignancy. Finally, it anatomically fixes the heart to the sternum, diaphragm and costal cartil...
