We investigate properties of monadic purely negational fragment of Intuitionistic Control Logic (ICL). This logic arises from Intuitionistic Propositional Logic (IPL) by extending language of IPL by additional new constant for falsum. Having two different falsum constants enables to define two forms of negation. We analyse implicational relations between negational monadic formulae and present ...

Band geometry plays a substantial role in topological lattice models. The Berry curvature, which resembles the effect of magnetic field reciprocal space, usually fluctuates throughout Brillouin zone. Motivated by analogy with Landau levels, constant curvature has been suggested as an ideal condition for realizing fractional Chern insulators. Here we show that while cannot be made two-band model...

The exact solution of the asymmetric exclusion problem with firstand scond-class particles is presented. In this model the particles (size 1) of both classes are located at lattice points, and diffuse with equal asymmetric rates, but particles in the first class do not distinguish those in the second class from holes (empty sites). We generalize and solve exactly this model by considering molec...

It is hoped that the accuracy of a variety of lattice calculations will be improved by perturbatively eliminating effects proportional to the lattice spacing. In this paper, we apply this improvement program to the heavy quark effective theory currents which cause a heavy quark to decay to a light quark, and renormalize the resulting operators to order αS. We find a small decrease in the amount...

ScPS4, which belongs to a new structure type, was prepared and characterized by_single crystal X-ray diffraction. It has a layer structure with seven-coordinate scandium. The space group is P1 and the lattice constants are a =6 .445(5) /~ , b=6 .659(5) /~ , c=6 .211(4) /~ , a=91.36(5) , /3=98.76(5) , and 7=86.22(5). The final R/R~, for the crystal ref inement was 4.9/5.1%.

We present results for the renormalised light and strange quark masses calculated using Domain Wall Fermions in quenched QCD. New results using the DBW2 gauge action at a ≈ 2GeV and a ≈ 1.3GeV will be presented and compared against existing results at a ≈ 2GeV using the Wilson gauge action. This comparison allows a study of the uncertainties due to both finite lattice spacing and residual chira...

We present results of quenched lattice calculations of the matrix elements relevant for Bd−B̄d and Bs−B̄s mixing in the Standard Model. Results for the corresponding SU(3)-breaking ratios, which can be used to constrain or determine |Vtd|, are also given. The calculations are performed at two values of the lattice spacing, corresponding to β = 6.0 and β = 6.2, with quarks described by a mean-fiel...

We report preliminary results from an ongoing calculation of BK for Nf = 2 dynamical QCD with domain wall fermions. Simulations have been done with three dynamical quark masses on 16 × 32 volumes with Ls = 12, where the lattice spacing is a = 1.81(6) GeV. Using measurements on ∼ 70 lattices for each dynamical mass and extrapolating mdyn = mval to the kaon point, we find B MS K (μ = 2GeV) = 0.50...

We show that the application of twisted mass QCD (tmQCD) with four (Wilson) quark flavours to the computation of lattice weak matrix elements relevant to ∆I = 1/2 transitions has important advantages: the renormali-sation of K → π matrix elements does not require the subtraction of other dimension six operators, the divergence arising from the subtraction of lower dimensional operators is softe...

Co0.7Me0.3Fe2O4 (Me = Zn, Ni and Mn) were synthesized through co-precipitation method. Cationic distribution for these ferrites was proposed on the basis of magnetization measurements and available occupancy of the substituent ions into the spinel lattice. Theoretical lattice constant calculations confirm the proposed cationic distributions were the correct ones.
