This paper describes the atomic layer deposition of In2(S,O)3 films by using In(acac)3 (acac = acetylacetonate), H2S and either H2O or O2 plasma as oxygen sources. First, the growth of pure In2S3 films was studied in order to better understand the influence of the oxygen pulses. X-Ray diffraction measurements, optical analysis and energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy were performed to character...

The indium triiodide catalyzed single-stage cascade reaction of N-sulfonyl amides with hydrosilanes and two types of organosilicon nucleophiles such as silyl cyanide and silyl enolates selectively promoted deoxygenative functionalization to give α-cyanoamines and β-aminocarbonyl compounds, respectively.

We demonstrate a concept to study transient liquids with picosecond time-resolved x-ray scattering in a high-repetition-rate configuration. Femtosecond laser excitation of crystalline indium antimonide (InSb) induces ultrafast melting, which leads to a loss of the long-range order. The remaining local correlations of the liquid result in broad x-ray diffraction rings, which are measured as a fu...

A time resolved study of the behavior of a single beam in photorefractive iron doped indium phosphide is provided down to the microsecond range, showing that infrared beam bending does occur on the micro-second time scale for moderate beam intensities. Two distinct time scales are evidenced, the behavior of which are the sign of two different photorefractive mechanisms.

We demonstrate a reversibly tunable photonic crystal quantum dot laser using a photochromic thin film. The laser is composed of a photonic crystal cavity with a bare cavity Q as high as 4500 coupled to a high density ensemble of indium arsenide quantum dots. By depositing a thin layer of photochromic material on the photonic crystal cavities, the laser can be optically tuned smoothly and revers...

This article summarizes some of the critical features of pure indium antimonide nanowires (InSb NWs) growth and their potential applications in the industry. In the first section, historical studies on the growth of InSb NWs have been presented, while in the second part, a comprehensive overview of the various synthesis techniques is demonstrated briefly. The major emphasis of current review is...

To address trafficking of transplanted marrow cells immediately after intravenous infusion, we examined the early fate of infused non-adherent, low-density donor bone marrow cells in a syngeneic mouse model. The presence of infused donor cells, marked with indium-111 oxine (111In), with the fluorescent dye PKH26, or by a detectable transgene marker, was evaluated at 3-48 h in a variety of tissu...

The adhesion molecules involved in the migration and retention of activated effector CD8 T cells in the lung microcirculation and their recruitment into lung tissue are largely unknown. Here, we have analyzed the role of lymphocyte function-associated antigen-1 (LFA-1) and very late antigen-4 (VLA-4) on adhesion of influenza hemagglutinin (HA)-specific CD8 T-cell clone D4 under shear conditions...

The synthesis of III-V quantum dots has been long known to be more challenging than the synthesis of other types of inorganic quantum dots. This is attributed to highly reactive group-V precursors. We synthesized molecules that are suitable for use as group-V precursors and characterized their reactivity using multiple complementary techniques. We show that the size distribution of indium arsen...

In this paper, we present a model for grown-in point defects inside indium antimonide crystals grown by the Czochralski technique. Our model is similar to the ones used for silicon crystal, which includes the Fickian diffusion and a recombination mechanism. This type of models is used for the first time to analyze grown-in point defects in indium antimonide crystals. The temperature solution an...
