Impulse control disorders are common in Parkinson's disease, occurring in 13.6% of patients. Using a pharmacological manipulation and a novel risk taking task while performing functional magnetic resonance imaging, we investigated the relationship between dopamine agonists and risk taking in patients with Parkinson's disease with and without impulse control disorders. During functional magnetic...

Concern has often been expressed that the performance of hearing protectors in steady noise may not apply to their performance in impulse noise. Our current.studies, as well as other studies, support the fact that there is a large difference in performance. In all cases, the performance of a protector is much better for impulse noise than for continuous noise. For example, we are obtaining at l...

Background and Objective:Patients with Alzheimer's disease have impaired visual function even in the early stages of the disease. Therefore, the present study aimed to determine the visual signs and symptoms in patients with Alzheimer's disease and compare them with those in the control group. Materials and Methods:This cross-sectional descriptive study was conducted on 19 Alzheimer patients a...

In this paper we discuss sensitivity of forecast with respect to the information set considered in prediction; we define a sensitivity measure called impact factor, IF. We calculate this measure in VAR processes integrated of order 0, 1 and 2. For VAR processes this measure is a simple function of the impulse response coefficients. For integrated VAR systems this measure is shown to have a dire...

-The input feedforward path in a ΔΣ modulator is an attractive technique for low-distortion swing-reduction design. It helps lower the power dissipation, especially in ΔΣ modulators designed with low oversampling ratios (OSRs) in low-voltage nanometer CMOS technologies. However, a ΔΣ modulator with analog feedforward (AFF) requires an analog adder before the quantizer, which can limit the achie...

BACKGROUND After ankle and hindfoot fractures, edema has a major impact on the time for surgical intervention and may increase the risk of wound complications and infection postoperatively. The aim of this study was to evaluate the efficacy of multilayer compression and intermittent impulse compression therapy in reducing ankle and hindfoot edema compared with the standard treatment with elevat...

Thermobaric charge PBXIH-135 is an explosive with desirable mechanical and safety characteristics. In present research, this PBX charge is provided on scale of 2 kg and its physical, mechanical, sensitivity and performance parameters were investigated. Prepared sample has density of 1.64 g/cm3, hardness of 53 Shore A, tensional strength of 1.68 MPa and strain of 44%. Impact and friction sensiti...

Thermoluminescence material LiF:Mg,Cu,P was produced using standard GR200 dopant concentrations and its emission and absorption spectrums was measured after beta irradiation. The alterations resulting from various thermal treatments, excessing the recommended temperatures namely 240ºC on the emission and absorption spectrums has been investigated. The main peak of absorption spectrum, which is ...

This paper derives an analytical expression for an impulse-response function for a vector autoregression with multivariate GARCH errors, where the vector of conditional means is a function of the conditional variances. We also provide the appropriate interpretation of an impulse-response function for such models and suggest interesting empirical issues that can be addressed within this framework.

in this article, a multi-objective function for placement of distributed generation (dg) and capacitors with thetap setting of under load tap changer (ultc) transformer is introduced. most of the recent articles have paidless attention to dg, capacitor placement and ultc effects in the distribution network simultaneously. insimulations, a comparison between different modes was carried out with,...
