The objective of the GreenPAD project is to use green energy to power data-centers. As a part of this it is important to predict the Wind energy for efficient scheduling (executing jobs that require higher energy when there is more green energy available and vice-versa). For predicting the wind energy we first analyze the historical data to find a statistical model that gives relation between w...

Energy efficient routing protocols can potentially reduce the amount of energy consumed in packet forwarding. However, existing literature lacks studies on improving green performance of geocast routings for the Internet of Vehicles. Therefore, this study proposes an energy efficient min delay (EEMD)-based geocast routing protocol to find optimal relay nodes by incorporating energy consumption ...

Renewable energy is seen as a key tool in addressing the dual issue of increasing demand and climate change mitigation. In current geopolitical climate, it may also play long-term role security. order to reach ambitious green targets set for each European Union member state public support fiscal other mechanisms required. The purpose this paper determine what extent population North-East region...

The temperature of cities continues to increase because of the heat island phenomenon and the undeniable climatic change. The observed high ambient temperatures intensify energy problems in cities, deteriorates comfort conditions, put in danger the vulnerable population and amplify the pollution problems. There are some suggested ways to reduce these issues, among them vegetated roofs are shown...

This article presents the results of the first large-scale mail survey of non-residential green power customers in the United States. The survey explored the motivations, attitudes, and experiences of 464 business, non-profit, and public-sector customers that have voluntarily opted to purchaseFand frequently pay a premium forFrenewable electricity. Particular attention in this article is paid t...

Energy transactions in liberalized markets are subject to price and quantity uncertainty. This paper considers the spot energy generation follow a bivariate semi-nonparametric distribution defined terms of Gram–Charlier expansion. allows us jointly model not only mean, variance, correlation but also skewness, kurtosis, higher-order moments. Based on this model, we propose static hedging strateg...

The challenge of electricity distribution’s upgrade to incorporate new technologies is big, and electric utilities are mandated to work diligently on this agenda, thus making investments to ensure that current networks maintain their electricity supply commitments secure and reliable in face of disruptions and adverse environmental conditions from a variety of sources. The paper presents a new ...

This article discusses details study on crystallization , optical properties of Li-Al-Si-La glass containing nanocrystalline LaF3.and their optical energy gaps. The Urbach energy of glass samples was evaluated. By using (2% mole) Tb the green–blue range emission occurred, while by accumulation 1% mole Gd beside Tb, the indigo emission intensity (418 to 441 nm) increased.
