This paper describes the calculation of the optimal partition parameters such that the girth maximum (m, r) Balanced Tanner Unit lies in family of BTUs specified by them using a series of proved results and thus creates a framework for specifying a search problem for finding the girth maximum (m, r) BTU. Several open questions for girth maximum (m, r) BTU have been raised.
Recently, we [1] proposed a simple-to-implement heuristic, namely, BIT-FILLING, for constructing high rate and high girth LDPC codes. In the present work, we extend BIT-FILLING, and demonstrate that the extended algorithm produces better codes, that is, codes with higher rate/girth and good bit error rate performance. We demonstrate the positive effect of girth on bit error rate performance.
The present research work is aimed at highlighting the safety aspects in a welding process. The process of welding is being used extensively for the last several decades as one of the most commonly used joining techniques for various metallic structures including ships, airplanes, automobiles, bridges, pressure vessels, etc. In this research article, some issues related to the procedures adopte...
In this paper, a low cost, high performance and full PC-based sensor system for the pulsed gas metal arc welding (PGMAW) is described. It allows the visual online observation of all states of the welding process, including the material transition, and all welding situations without an additional lighting unit. Additionally, the synchronized measurement of the welding current and welding voltage...
Submerged Arc welding process is automated and semiautomated high deposition down hand welding process not vertical or over welding process, The fundamental difference of this welding process is that the Arc is not visible it is submerged into the flux. Weldment is fully submerged the heat loss is minimum and the thermal efficiency is very high up to 80-90%. A constant power sources and control...
in this paper, we consider a class of column-weight two quasi-cyclic low-density paritycheck codes in which the girth can be large enough, as an arbitrary multiple of 8. then we devote a convolutional form to these codes, such that their generator matrix can be obtained by elementary row and column operations on the parity-check matrix. finally, we show that the free distance of the convolution...
The girth of a finitely generated group G is defined to be the supremum of the girth of its Cayley graphs. Let G be a finitely generated subgroup of the mapping class group ModΣ, where Σ is an orientable closed surface with a finite number of punctures and with a finite number of components. We show that G is either a non-cyclic group with infinite girth or a virtually free-abelian group; these...
There are many industries where austenitic stainless steel needs to be welded specially in power generation industries. Unfortunately the austenitic stainless welding has several fabrication and metallurgical drawbacks when welded by using conventional fusion welding methods, which can often leads to in-service failure. The most pronounced fabrication faults are hot cracks due to inadvertent us...
FSW is a solid phase welding, invented by W. Thomas and his colleagues at The Welding Institute (TWI), UK, in 1991. It is proven that FSW is completely user friendly, non hazardous and produces no effluents. From the advent of the modern Welding technology, most of all the techniques that were developed produced fumes and gases that were hazardous to the welders and the environment. Protective ...
