Economists are giving more attention to the issue of subjective well-being. This study examines the factors that determine financial well-being for households in Oklahoma County, Oklahoma, using multiple imputation to estimate missing survey values. The study is motivated by the availability of extensive household-level data for a six year period for Oklahoma County.
In this paper, we develop analytic techniques that can be used to produce appropriate inferences from a data set in which imputation for missing values has been carried out using predictive means. Our derivations are based on asymptotic expansions of point estimators and their associated variance estimators, and the resulting formulas can be thought of as first-order approximations to the estim...
Multiple imputation is used to create values for missing family income data in the National Survey on Recreation and the Environment. We present an overview of the survey and a description of the missingness pattern for family income and other key variables. We create a logistic model for the multiple imputation process and to impute data sets for family income. We compare results between estim...
Geosynchronous Synthetic Aperture Radar (GEO SAR) is a possible next generation SAR system, which has the excellent performance of less than one-day revisit and hundreds of kilometres coverage. However, Radio Frequency Interference (RFI) is a serious problem, because the specified primary allocation frequencies are shared by the increasing number of microwave devices. More seriously, as the hig...

BACKGROUND Dental caries is unevenly distributed within populations with a higher burden in low socio-economy groups. Several attempts have been made to allocate resources to those that need them the most; there is a need for convenient approaches to population-based monitoring of caries risk over time. The aim of this study was to develop the geo-map concept, addressing time trends in caries r...
Highway safety evaluation is one of the critical processes for identifying transportation system performance. The capabilities of common used safety assessing methodologies such as naïve before-after comparisons, safety audit, and statistical modelling, etc, are limited due to historical data availability, observation periods, or observer’ experience, and so on. Other than these traditional met...
