ATM network is a flexible environment to provide efficient transport of multimedia traffic. MPEG-encoded video information constitutes significant amount of transmitted data in broadband network. The paper investigates a gain which can be obtained when using results of statistical studies on stored MPEG files. Performance of transfer of MPEG information via CBR and rt-VBR links is studied.
Mobile GIS strategies for disseminating thematic tourist information: Examples of spatial narratives
The paper discusses the concept of spatial narratives based on so-called narrative links and their potential role within the implementation of flexible and thematic tourist information systems on mobile gps-enabled devices. This paper presents development of a dynamic model of a two-link flexible manipulator. An explicit, complete, and accurate nonlinear dynamic model of the system is developed using assumed mode method. The Lagrangian approach is used to derive the dynamic model of the system. Several responses including angular positions and displacements of both links are obtained and analysed.
We present a methodology for automatically constructing structural hyperlinks for navigation and retrieval in large corpora.
