The use of the scalar-Einstein field equations and their solutions seems to have gone through four, perhaps related, stages. In the first stage [1] solutions were sought which it was hoped would represent an elementary particle such as a meson. How the scalar field decays from such solutions might effect the Yukawa potential has been discussed by Roberts [2]. In the second stage it was noticed ...
We investigate solutions of Einstein field equations for the nonstatic spherically symmetric perfect fluid case using different equations of state. The properties of an exact spherically symmetric perfect fluid solutions are obtained which contain shear. We obtain three different solutions out of these one turns out to be an incoherent dust solution and the other two are stiff matter solutions.
We algebraically classify some higher dimensional spacetimes, including a number of vacuum solutions of the Einstein field equations which can represent higher dimensional black holes. We discuss some consequences of this work. E-mail: [email protected] E-mail: [email protected]
Following the technique of [1], we show that strictly static and strictly stationary solutions of the Einstein-Maxwell equations are analytic in harmonic coordinates. This holds whether or not the Maxwell field inherits the symmetry.
A method of solving the Einstein equations with a scalar field is presented. It is applied to find higher dimensional vacuum metrics invariant under the group SO(n + 1) acting on n-dimensional spheres. PACS number: 04.50.-h

We show how the Einstein equations with cosmological constant (and/or various types of matter field sources) can be integrated in a very general form following the anholonomic frame method for constructing exact solutions in four and five dimensional gravity.

We prove that given a solution of the Einstein equations gab for the matter field Tab, an autoparallel null vector field l a and a solution (lalc, Tac) of the linearized Einstein equation on the given background, the Kerr-Schild metric gac + λlalc (λ arbitrary constant) is an exact solution of the Einstein equation for the energy-momentum tensor Tac + λTac + λl(aTc)bl . The mixed form of the Ei...
