Oxyptilus eleaneraesp. n., is described from New Mexico, Arizona, and Southwest Texas, and compared with the only other Oxyptilus occurring in the Nearctic Region, O. delawaricus Zeller. A redescription is provided for O. delawaricus. Adults and male and female genitalia are illustrated for both species. Key morphological characters, distributions, and relationships within the genus are discussed.

Many problems from control theory can be stated as so-called robust LMI problems. In this paper, the theorem of Ehlich and Zeller, a powerful tool for analyzing polynomials and rational functions, will be presented and applied to the robust LMI problems which are used to analyze uncertain systems.

The article describes two new Pterophoridae species from Venezuela: Postplatyptilia lastukhini Ustjuzhanin & Kovtunovich, sp. n. and stekolnikovi Four species: Stenoptilodesbrevipennis (Zeller, 1874), Adaina costarica Gielis, 1992, desolata Arenberger Bond, 1995 Hellinsia devriesi (Landry 1992) are recorded for the fauna of Venezuela first time.

In this paper we study a general class of linear operators defined by infinite sum. In particular, we obtain the convergence and the evaluation for the rate of convergence in therm of the first modulus of smoothness for the Mirakjan-Favard-Szász, Meyer-König and Zeller operators.

Using classical univariate polynomial inequalities (Ehlich and Zeller, 1964), we show that there exist admissible meshes with O(n2) points for total degree bivariate polynomials of degree n on convex quadrangles, triangles and disks.
