In 1987, Chamot et al attempted to unify the various descriptions of osteoarticular disease associated with skin manifestations into a syndrome with the acronym SAPHO: synovitis, acne, pustulosis, hyperostosis, and osteitis (Chamot et al., 1987). Furthermore, the clinical feature of aseptic chronic recurrent multiple osteomyelitis (CRMO) accompanied by pustulosis with its typical presentation i...
It is found that HRnCCH and HRnOH are metastable, chemically bound compounds of radon. These molecules are studied by multi-reference ab initio methods. Equilibrium geometry, NBO partial charges and bond orders, harmonic frequencies, are calculated. Intrinsic life-times are obtained by calculating the dissociation barriers and related partition functions, and by applying transition state theory...
We give two weak-strong uniqueness results for the weak solutions to the critical dissipative quasi-geostrophic equation when the initial data belongs to Ḣ−1/2. The first one shows that we can construct a unique Ḣ−1/2-solution when the initial data belongs moreover to L∞ with a small L∞ norm. The other one gives the uniqueness of a Ḣ−1/2-solution which belongs to C([0, T ), CMO).
INTRODUCTION The simultaneous presentation of osteomyelitis in more than one bone is rare and is commonly accompanied by a chronic disease. Even in such cases, other conditions that arise commonly in the long bones of children--such as chronic recurrent multifocal osteomyelitis and Ewing's sarcoma--must be ruled out. CASE PRESENTATION We present the case of a 5-year-old boy with bilateral acu...
Periodic fever syndromes are a group of diseases characterized by episodes of fever with healthy intervals between febrile episodes. In the first part of this paper, we presented a guideline for approaching patients with periodic fever and reviewed two common disorders with periodic fever in Iranian patients including familial Mediterranean fever (FMF) and periodic fever syndromes except for pe...
Chronic recurrent multifocal osteomyelitis (CRMO), also named nonbacterial osteomyelitis (NBO) and being a form of presentation of synovitis, acne, pustulosis, hyperostosis, osteitis syndrome (SAPHO), is an increasingly recognized auto-inflammatory non-bacterial disease, of unknown etiology, which occurs predominantly in children and adolescents. The clinical course is characterized by prolonge...
