Ayurvedic bhasmas are still prepared by the age old methods using earthen pots and cow dung cakes. It is a laborious and costly method consuming a lot of time. This paper deals with a modern method of preparation using electric Bunsen. It is a convenient, and cheap method consuming less time. Chemical analysis of the samples prepared by the both methods did not show much difference.

A series of photo-oxidation smog chamber experiments were performed to investigate the primary emissions and secondary aerosol formation from two different log wood burners and a residential pellet burner under different burning conditions: starting and flaming phase. Emissions were sampled from the chimney and injected into the smog chamber leading to primary organic aerosol (POA) concentratio...

Recommended Citation Emadi, Majid. "Flame structure and thermo-acoustic coupling for the low swirl burner for elevated pressure and syngas conditions. ABSTRACT Reduction of the pollutant emissions is a challenge for the gas turbine industry. A solution to this problem is to employ the low swirl burner which can operate at lower equivalence ratios than a conventional swirl burner. However, flame...

Bunsen reaction was performed electrochemically using cation exchange membranes prepared by a radiation-induced grafting method for application to the iodine-sulfur thermochemical water-splitting cycle. The reaction experiments using sulfuric acid dissolving sulfur dioxide as the anolyte and hydriodic acid dissolving iodine as the catholyte verified the progress of the aimed reaction. Compared ...

Abstract: Properly understanding heat flux characteristics is a crucial prerequisite to efficiently applying a regenerative burner in an aluminum reheating furnace. A series of experiments was conducted in this study in order to establish a database of the best available burners according to furnace temperature, excess air ratio, and flame combustion mode as they affect heat flux characteristic...

This study is focused on the effects of nitrogen content in biomass feedstock on the producer gas composition and the flue gas NOx emissions from a pilot-scale gasification and combustion system. Biomass gasification has the potential to produce carbon negative energy by using renewable resources. The greenhouse gases emitted by burning fossil fuels have to be reduced, and biomass gasification ...
