Human body models (HBMs) for vehicle occupant simulations have recently been extended with active muscles and postural control strategies. Feedback control has been used to model occupant responses to autonomous braking interventions. However, driver postural responses during driver initiated braking differ greatly from autonomous braking. In the present study, an anticipatory postural response...

Epistemic injustices are wrongs that agents can suffer in their capacity as knowers. In this article, I offer a conceptualisation of phenomenon call anticipatory epistemic injustice, which claim is distinct and particularly pernicious type injustice worthy independent analysis. take to consist the result anticipated challenges process taking up testimony-sharing opportunities. distinguish my ac...

To compute spatially correct smooth pursuit eye movements, the brain uses both retinal motion and extraretinal signals about the eyes and head in space (Blohm and Lefèvre 2010). However, when smooth eye movements rely solely on memorized target velocity, such as during anticipatory pursuit, it is unknown if this velocity memory also accounts for extraretinal information, such as head roll and o...

Anticipatory behavior is aimed at goals that can be reached in the near future. Underlying this behavior are neurophysiological processes, which realize a setting of brain structures involved in the future perception, information processing and action. Anticipatory behavior is accompanied by slow brain potentials, which are generated in the Ž . Ž . cerebral cortex. They are known as the readine...

This paper presents a novel approach to the problem of designing autonomous agents that is based on the idea of anticipatory systems. An anticipatory system has a model of itself and of the relevant part of its environment and will use this model to predict the future. The predictions are then utilised to determine the agent’s behaviour, i.e. it lets future states affect its present states. We ...

The growing importance of enterprise risk management and the resulting integration efforts put the need for separate IT risk management frameworks in question. In this research we analyse common and distinct elements of the COSO enterprise risk management and ISACA Risk IT frameworks. The analysis affirms the hypothesis that separate IT risk management frameworks are redundant.
