We report on a CEP-stable OPCPA system reaching multi-GW peak powers at 300 kHz repetition rate. It delivers 15 W of average power, over 50 µJ of compressed pulse energy and a pulse duration below 6 fs. By implementing an additional pump-seed-synchronization, the output parameters are stabilized over hours with power fluctuations of less than 1.5%.
Notch receptors transmit signals between adjacent cells. Signaling is initiated when ligand binding induces metalloprotease cleavage of Notch within an extracellular negative regulatory region (NRR). We present here the X-ray structure of the human NOTCH2 NRR, which adopts an autoinhibited conformation. Extensive interdomain interactions within the NRR bury the metalloprotease site, showing tha...
Fast-twitch skeletal muscles are specialized for in vivo motor functions that require high power (mastication and load lifting), high speed (eyelid blink), or a combination of the two (withdrawal reflexes and escape responses). Those functions that rely on high power often involve tetanic stimulation of the effector muscles, resulting in sustained force generation even during tetani that are no...
The migration patterns of naive and activated T cells are associated with the expression of distinct sets of chemokine receptors, but the molecular basis for this regulation is unknown. Here we identify Krupple-like factor 2 (KLF2) as a key transcriptional factor needed to prevent naive T cells from expressing inflammatory chemokine receptors and acquiring the migration patterns of activated T ...

An all-digital full-entropy True Random Number Generator (TRNG) with measured 1.3GHz operation and total power consumption of 1.5mW at 0.75V, 25oC is fabricated in 14nm FinFET CMOS. Three independent selfcalibrating entropy sources, coupled with pre-extraction correlation suppressors and a real-time BIW extractor enable ultra-low energy consumption of 3pJ/bit, while generating cryptographic-qua...
The $pp\to \{W, W'\} \to l\nu$ and \{\gamma, Z, Z'\} l^+l^-$ ($l=e,\mu$) processes in the $SU(3)_C\times SO(5)\times U(1)_X$ gauge-Higgs unification (GHU) models are studied, where $W'$ $Z'$ bosons Kaluza-Klein (KK) exited states of electroweak gauge bosons. From experimental data collected at Large Hadron Collider, constraints on KK mass scale Aharonov-Bohm phase obtained. One can explore GUT ...
