We consider the Lorentz invariant non-commutative QED and complete the Feynman rules for the theory up to the order θ. In the Lorentz invariant version of the noncommutative QED the particles with fractional charges can be also considered. We show that in the parton model, even at the lowest order, the Bjorken scaling violates as ∼ θQ.
The calculation of the symmetry factor corresponding to a given Feynman diagram is well known to be a tedious problem. We have derived a simple formula for these symmetry factors. Vacuum polarization effects are non-perturbatively incorporated into the photon propagator to eliminate the severe infrared problems characteristic of QED 3. The theory is thus rephrased in terms of a massive vector boson whose mass is e 2 /(8π). Subsequently, it is shown that electron-electron bound states are possible in QED 3 .

We report on two recent results based on the evaluation of five-loop massless propagators in QCD and QED: (i) corrections of order α 4 s to the absorptive part of the polarization function in QCD with n f = 3; (ii) the five-loop contribution to the β function of quenched QED.
It is shown that even a single e- e+ pair created by a superstrong laser field in vacuum would cause development of an avalanchelike QED cascade which rapidly depletes the incoming laser pulse.
