A simple linear loop is a simple while loop with linear assignments and linear loop guards. If a simple linear loop has only two program variables, we give a complete algorithm for computing the set of all the inputs on which the loop does not terminate. For the case of more program variables, we show that the non-termination set cannot be described by Tarski formulae in general.

This research is part of an educational framework for analyzing teaching practices. It attempts to understand teachers’ practices in physical education. For this matter, it relies on the theoretical framework of didactic joint action. Dataaow analyses track the deenitions and uses of variable values, and are useful to optimizing and parallelizing compilers. Such analyses compute, for every (array cell) value read in a right-hand-side expression, the very operation which produced it. These analyses, however, make quite stringent hypotheses on the input programs: the control ow should be known at compile-time (i.e., static), a...

In 2011, Boston became one of the first cities in the United States to launch a bike-sharing program. Because public transportation by bus and subway can be slow in Boston, and driving even worse at times, bikes were thought to be a good alternative. One of the fun parts about taking public transportation is seeing who will be riding with you. Oftentimes you’ll learn more about some topic just ...
