The model fluids containing hard ellipses (HEs) and Gay-Berne (GB) particles where their center is moving in one dimension and confined between two parallel walls with different interactions are investigated using Monte Carlo simulation, NVT ensemble. The dependency of fluid pressure with respect to the wall distances is studied. The oscillatory behaviors are seen in this quantity against ...

this paper reports a cfd modeling study to investigate the hydrogen-air mixture combustion in a micro scale chamber. nine species with nineteen reversible reactions were considered in the premixed combustion model. the effect of operational and geometrical conditions including; combustor size, wall conductivity, reactant flow rates and hydrogen feed splitting on combustion stability and outlet ...

In this paper we study the resistivity temperature dependence of a three-dimensional metamagnet near the metamagnetic phase transition point. The phase transition is characterized by a phase separation of regions with high and low magnetization. We show that, in the case of weak pinning, the spin relaxation time of the domain wall, which separates the two phases, is much larger than that of the...

Non-isothermal stagnation-point flow with consideration of thermal radiation is studied numerically. A set of partial differential equations that governing the fluid flow and energy is converted into a set of ordinary differential equations which is solved by Runge-Kutta method with shooting algorithm. Dimensionless wall temperature gradient and temperature boundary layer thickness for differen...

in this paper, the effects of input temperature and compression ratio on the net output work and efficiency of the air standard cycles, i.e. atkinson cycle, diesel cycle and otto cycle are analyzed. we assumed that the compression and power processes are adiabatic and reversible and any convective, conductive and radiative heat transfer to cylinder wall during the heat rejection process may be ...

We study the quark number susceptibility, an indicator of QCD phase transition, in the hard wall and soft wall models of hQCD. We find that the susceptibilities in both models are the same, jumping up at the deconfinement phase transition temperature. We also find that the diffusion constant in the soft wall model is enhanced compared to the one in the hard wall model.

One would logically expect that antifungal agents which act via the inhibition of cell wall biosynthesis should show fungicidal activity and low toxicity as the cell wall is essential for fungal cell growth and is not synthesized by mammalian cells. A variety of cell wall-acting antifungal agents have been discovered and some of these have become economically important1~3). However, new nontoxi...
