With the growing amount of computational resources available, not only locally (e.g. multicore processors), but also across the Internet, utility computing (aka Clouds and Grids) becomes more and more interesting as a means to outsource applications and services, respectively. So far, these systems still act like external resources / devices that have to be explicitly selected, integrated, acce...

In this paper, a fast direct solver for incompressible Navier-Stokes equations with nite diierence methods on the half-staggered grid is presented. To achieve this, new algorithms for diagonalizing a semi-deenite pair are developed. Our fast solver can also be extended to three dimensional case. The motivation and related issues in using this second kind of staggered grid are also discussed.

Abstract Limitations such as maximum power consumption during peak hours, scheduled load shedding and unplanned brownouts are problems of weak stressed electricity grids. To compensate for shortage energy, the usage renewable energies is a solution delivering increased reliability consumers. Although sub-Saharan African countries suffer from unreliable grids, they benefit large amounts solar ra...

Inverters are extensively used in both residential and commercial settings to serve as a backup power source the event of outage from utility grids. In case outage, an inverter powers electric equipment. As name suggests, converts AC DC charge battery before inverting electronic devices. So here is efficient converter that compact size can provide output voltage 220v-230/150w. This energy-effic...

As extreme weather events become more common in the United States due to worsening effects of climate change, access utilities like electricity and water will be continually strained. Blackouts intermittent utility interruptions impact low-income communities color most negatively. While renewable energy technologies promise alleviation emissions pollution, high cost a lack equitable infrastruct...

A new mimetic finite difference scheme for solving the acoustic wave equation is presented. It combines a novel second order tensor mimetic discretizations in space and a leapfrog approximation in time to produce an explicit multidimensional scheme. Convergence analysis of the new scheme on a staggered grid shows that it can take larger time steps than standard finite difference schemes based o...

Grid computing is a term referring to the combination of computer resources from multiple administrative domains to reach a common computational platform. Mobile Computing is a Generic word that introduces using of movable, handheld devices with wireless communication, for processing data. Mobile Computing focused on providing access to data, information, services and communications anywhere an...
