Five new polyketide derivatives, 7-O-methylkoninginin D (1) and trichodermaketones A-D (2-5), together with four known compounds, koninginins A, D, E, and F, were isolated from the marine-derived fungus Trichoderma koningii. Trichodermaketones A (2) and B (3) are unprecedented polyketides with a bistetrafuran-containing tricyclic skeleton. The chemical structures and absolute configurations of ...

understanding the function of trichoderma species in the control of phytophthora drechsleri in pistachio orchards is very important.  in this study, the effects of liquid extra-cellular secretions and volatile compounds secreted by 27 isolates of trichoderma harzianum, t. crassum, t. koningii, t.aureoviride, t. asperellum, t. brevicompactum, t.longibrachiatum and t. virens were investigated on ...

Background The ascomycete fungus Trichoderma reesei is the predominant source of enzymes for industrial conversion of lignocellulose. Its glycoside hydrolase family 7 cellobiohydrolase (GH7 CBH) TreCel7A constitutes nearly half of the enzyme cocktail by weight and is the major workhorse in the cellulose hydrolysis process. The orthologs from Trichoderma atroviride (TatCel7A) and Trichoderma har...

Trichoderma sp., a well known biological control agent against several phytopathogens, was tested for its phosphate (P) solubilizing potential. Fourteen strains of Trichoderma sp. were isolated from the forest tree rhizospheres of pinus, deodar, bamboo, guava and oak on Trichoderma selective medium. The isolates were tested for their in-vitro P-solubilizing potential using National Botanical Re...

The antibiotic activity of 70 isolates belonging to the genera Aspergillus, Penicillium, Fusarium, Alternaria and Trichoderma was tested as preliminary screening. The highest activity was obtained with three Penicillium oxalicum isolates, one Penicillium decumbens isolate and the Trichoderma harzianum isolate. After that, we chose these five isolates in order to carry out other studies with bac...

Trichoderma koningiopsis strain POS7 produces significantly large amounts of cellulase enzymes in solid-state fermentation. The Illumina-based sequence analysis reveals an approximate genome size of 36.6 Mbp, with a G+C content of 48.82% for T. koningiopsis POS7. Based on ab initio prediction, 12,661 coding genes were annotated.

In this study, twelve fungal lipase producing strains belonging to Aspergillus, Penicillium, Trichoderma and Mucor genera were isolated from palm oil mill effluent composts. The Aspergillus spp. were more frequent (42%) and was present in all the samples assayed. Mucor sp. was the least encountered (8.3%).The lipase producing profile showed that Trichoderma (8.07-8.24 u/mL) and Aspergillus (6.2...

Trichoderma “viride” TNAU is the most widely used biofungicide in India with more than 250 registered commercial formulations being available. We have studied the phylogenetic position of this strain using a molecular marker and determined that this commercial strain is, in fact, a strain of Trichoderma asperelloides, and not T. viride. The implications of these findings on the registration and...
