Introduction: Agrammatism in Broca’s aphasia is a language disorder that is characterized by a selective syntactic deficit, often in comprehension as well as in speech production. According to the Trace Deletion Hypothesis (TDH, Grodzinsky, 1990, 1995, 2000), the deficit in comprehension in agrammatic aphasia is attributed to impaired representation of structures with non-canonical word order d...
Introduction: Knowledge about the different diameters of the head and neck of femur is essential in orthopedic surgery for prosthesis and nail application. The aim of this study was to evaluate the average FNA in the young Egyptians and the effect of age on it. Also, matching sex and side differences of the angle were done by using CT. In addition, the different growth parameters of the proxima...
BACKGROUND G. hollisae thermostable direct hemolysin (Gh-TDH) is produced by most strains of G. hollisae. This toxin has been reported to be absorbed in the intestines in humans. Secondary liver injury might be caused by venous return of the toxin through the portal system. We aimed to firstly analyze the in vitro and in vivo hepatotoxicity of Gh-TDH. METHODS Liver cells (primary human non-ca...
Vibrio parahaemolyticus is the leading cause of seafood-borne gastroenteritis worldwide. As reported in other countries, after the rise and fall of the pandemic strain in Chile, other post-pandemic strains have been associated with clinical cases, including strains lacking the major toxins TDH and TRH. Since the presence or absence of tdh and trh genes has been used for diagnostic purposes and ...
We investigated the virulence properties of four Vibrio parahaemolyticus strains causing acute gastroenteritis following consumption of indigenous mussels in Italy. The isolated strains were cytotoxic and adhesive but, surprisingly, lacked tdh, trh, and type three secretion system 2 (T3SS2) genes. We emphasize that nontoxigenic V. parahaemolyticus can induce acute gastroenteritis, highlighting ...
We report the whole-genome sequence of a tdh- and trh-negative Vibrio parahaemolyticus strain, V110, from shrimp. The major difference of V110 from clinical strains was its lack of the type III secretion system T3SS2, a key component of virulence. Further sequence comparison can shed light on the pathogenesis of V. parahaemolyticus.
Due to some issues faced in rural areas such as increasing water demand, the limited reach of electricity, well scarcity fossil fuel and its negative impact on environment, renewable energy pumping systems emerges an excellent solution solve those problems. In this case, components system ought be optimized improve effectiveness system. This study was aimed at developing analyzing optimization ...
The objective of this study was to determine the genetic diversity and virulence factors of Vibrio cholerae and V. parahaemolyticus from selected aquatic environments in Bachok, Kelantan, Malaysia. Out of 50 water samples, 33 were confirmed with the presence of presumptive V. cholerae and V. parahaemolyticus based on biochemical tests. Primers targeting toxR gene specific for V. cholerae (800bp...
