The title compound, (C4H7N2)2[AlP2O7(OH)], is a one-dimensional extended-chain aluminophosphate prepared by a solvothermal synthesis from an alcohol system. The infinite [AlP2O7(OH)]2- chains composed of AlO4, PO2(=O)2 and PO2(=O)(OH) tetrahedra are linked via hydrogen bonds to the 2-methylimidazolium cations.

We reported a universal route for synthesizing porous organic ligands (POLs) via solvothermal polymerization. The POLs were obtained quantitatively, showing high surface area, large pore volume, hierarchical porosity, and superior stability. The POL bearing a triphenylphosphine supported rhodium catalyst (Rh/POL-PPh3) exhibits high activity and excellent recyclability in 1-octene hydroformylation.

A new chiral open-framework cobalt phosphite [C6N2H14][Co(HPO3)2] (1) with helical channels has been synthesized under solvothermal conditions in the presence of achiral organic amine. The circular dichroism (CD) spectrum indicates that the bulk crystals have optical activity. Magnetic measurements reveal that 1 is a weak ferromagnet.

Nitrogen self-doped TiO(2) nanosheets with exposed {001} facets (ca. 67%) were synthesized by solvothermal treatment of TiN in a HNO(3)-HF ethanol solution and exhibited much higher visible-light photocatalytic H(2)-production activity than nitrogen doped TiO(2) microcrystallites with exposed {001} facets (ca. 60%) by a factor of 4.1.

Porous BiOCl hexagonal prisms have been successfully prepared through a simple solvothermal route. These novel BiOCl HPs with porous structures are assembled from nanoparticles and exhibit high activity and selectivity toward the photocatalytic aerobic oxidation of benzyl alcohol to benzaldehyde and degradation of methyl orange.

ZnFe(2)O(4)/C hollow spheres have been synthesized via a facile solvothermal route using low cost raw materials. The resulting composite showed a very high specific capacity of 841 mAh g(-1) after 30 cycles and good rate capability.

We report a high-yield synthesis of single-crystal hexagonal Sb2Te3 nanoplates using a solvothermal approach. The experimental results show that the concentration of capping agent CTAB played a key role in the formation of nanoplates. This new nanostructure may provide opportunity for the exploration of novel thermoelectric properties and have potential applications in thermoelectric nanodevices.
