The present paper constitutes a critique of David Alm’s article “Punishment, Consent and Value”, in which it is argued that the consensual theory punishment defended by C. S. Nino false. Whilst Alm believes this grounded on an inadequate model normative relations, here I will defend hypothesis such assessment derives from insufficient conception human value respect.
