A 61-year-old woman was diagnosed with rectal carcinoma. Colectomy and bilateral oophorectomy were performed. There was no peritoneal dissemination. Our case showed that colonic carcinoma coexisted with benign adnexal neoplasm. This fact suggests that the histogenesis of multiple benign or malignant tumors is likely to be secondary to an unexplained stimulus. Perhaps, the collection of cases wi...
INTRODUCTION Primary malignant melanoma that arises from the true anatomic rectal mucosa is extremely rare. CASE REPORT An endoscopic investigation of a 79-year-old woman with long history of tenesmus and rectal bleeding revealed posterior fleshy mass 4.5 cm from the anal verge. A bilateral adrenalectomy was performed after chemotherapy. Histopathological examination showed adenocarcinoma, compatible with m...

A prospective study was therefore performed on 35 patients (55–82 years of age) with localised prostatic carcinoma before and four to six weeks after RTH to assess its...

Granulomatous prostatitis is a rare benign inflammatory condition of prostate. It is mistaken for prostatic carcinoma. Clinically it presents as hard nodule on digital rectal examination with raised serum prostate specific antigen (PSA) levels and reduced free PSA levels. We report a rare case of non-specific granulomatous prostatitis clinically diagnosed as carcinoma prostate.
