binayak et al in [1] proved a fixed point of generalized kannan type-mappings in generalized menger spaces. in this paper we extend gen- eralized kannan-type mappings in generalized fuzzy metric spaces. then we prove a fixed point theorem of this kind of mapping in generalized fuzzy metric spaces. finally we present an example of our main result.
In this paper, we consider an n-species Lotka-Volterra periodic competition system. Using a comparison method and the Brouwer fixed point theorem, we obtain some sufficient conditions for the ultimate boundedness of solutions and the existence and global attractivity of a positive periodic solution. We also point out that these results constitute a generalization of K. Gopalsamy and J. M. Cushi...
best approximation results provide an approximate solution to the fixed point equation $tx=x$, when the non-self mapping $t$ has no fixed point. in particular, a well-known best approximation theorem, due to fan cite{5}, asserts that if $k$ is a nonempty compact convex subset of a hausdorff locally convex topological vector space $e$ and $t:krightarrow e$ is a continuous mapping, then there exi...
In this paper, we establish the existence of positive solution for the semipositone second-order three-point boundary value problem u′′(t) + λf(t, u(t)) = 0, 0 < t < 1, u(0) = αu(η), u(1) = βu(η). Our arguments are based on the well-known Guo-Krasnosel’skii fixed-point theorem in cones.
In this article we prove the existence of at least one positive solution for a three-point integral boundary-value problem for a second-order nonlinear differential equation. The existence result is obtained by using Schauder’s fixed point theorem. Therefore, we do not need local assumptions such as superlinearity or sublinearity of the involved nonlinear functions.
