In this paper, the formal structure of Penrose’s gravitationally induced reduction wave function mechanism is analyzed. It shown that pushing argument forward leads to interpretation quantum coherence in microscopic systems as an observable signature violation general covariance. We discuss potential avenues avoid conclusion, among them emergent mechanics and super-determinism.
