This is the user’s manual of [email protected]. This package is a practical implementation, based upon the HERWIG event generator, of the recently proposed MC@NLO formalism for matching the next-to-leading order calculation of a QCD process with a parton-shower Monte Carlo simulation. The processes of standard-model vector boson pair production in hadronic collisions are available.
We have calculated the NLO corrections to the twist-2 part of the deeply-virtual Compton scattering amplitude. Our results for the transverse and antisymmetric parts agree with recent calculations by Ji and Osborne and by Belitsky and Müller. In addition we present NLO results for the longitudinal part of the amplitude.
We calculate next-to-leading order (NLO) QCD corrections to electroweak Higgs boson plus three jet production. Both vector boson fusion (VBF) and Higgs-strahlung type contributions are included along with all interferences. The calculation is implemented within the Matchbox NLO framework of the Herwig++ event generator.
A novel porphyrin derivative bearing one D-π-A-π-D pyrimidine chromophore at the periphery was designed, prepared, and studied using the Z-scan technique, the results showing that this compound exhibits enhanced nonlinear optical (NLO) absorption, refraction and optical limiting responses. The significant NLO properties can be ascribed to an effective combination of distinct nonlinear mechanisms.
7-N,N-Dibutylamino-2-azaphenanthrene (L(3)), 8-N,N-dibutylamino-2-azachrysene (L(4)) and related Ir(i) complexes or alkylated salts show high second-order NLO responses, as determined by the EFISH technique and DFT calculations. L(4) is appealing as building block for NLO active materials due to its unexpected large μβ(1.907)value and its very high thermal stability.
