In our day-to-day communication and expression, gestures play a crucial role. As result, using them to interact with technical equipment requires small cognitive data processing on part. Because it creates large barrier between the user machine, physical device for human-computer interaction, such as mouse or keyboard, obstructs natural interface. this study, we created sophisticated marker-fre...

Motion analysis poses problems for any visual system, not least because of the ambiguities inherent in motion signals. Recent studies suggest that the human motion system may exploit 'motion streaks' - analogous to the cartoonist's speed lines - to help resolve the direction of ambiguous motion.

EVE, the Early Vision Emulation software, is a system for the stimulation of early visual processing. EVE has the ability to carry out the operations of a wide variety of models of spatial vision, motion detection and processing, and spatial sampling. We introduce the EVE software and illustrate some of its applications for models of pattern detection, pattern discrimination, and motion detection.

The Reichardt detector model for fly motion vision has been around for more than 50 years, but a cellular implementation of the model has not yet been discovered. Detailed reconstruction of serial electron-microscopy sections has now revealed a circuit that might well provide the cellular basis for directional selectivity in motion vision.

When a short straight line segment moves across a zigzag line and is viewed in one's peripheral vision, it appears to exhibit nonrigid squirming motion (the squirm effect). This phenomenon demonstrates that the form, orientation, and motion direction of a short line are influenced by those of a longer one when they are viewed in one's peripheral vision.

Fixation is defined as holding the gaze direction towards the ized that the key for a computationally simple solution is same environmental point through time. It was proven in the in the selection of the appropriate representation for the past that fixation reduces the number of unknowns in passive dynamic imagery. Furthermore, active vision involves the visual navigation from five to four. In...
