In this paper, we propose a new learning method simulation adjusting that adjusts simulation policy to improve the move decisions of the Monte Carlo method. We demonstrated simulation adjusting for 4 × 4 board Go problems. We observed that the rate of correct answers moderately increased.
We compare two approaches for a Markovian model in flexible manufacturing systems (FMSs) using Monte Carlo simulation. The model which is a development of Fazlollahtabar and Saidi-Mehrabad (2013), considers two features of automated flexible manufacturing systems equipped with automated guided vehicle (AGV) namely, the reliability of machines and the reliability of AGVs in a multiple AGV jobsho...
After a critical literature review, this paper studies the risk of enterprise investment in human capital education from two aspects, economics and management. It firstly analyzes the main computation steps and simulation procedure of Monte Carlo Method, and then, with relevant case studies, probes into the employee efficiency development risk of that investment, the result of which shows that ...
The aim of this study is to present a new method to predict project time and cost under uncertainty. Assuming that what happens in projects implementation which is expressed in the form of Earned Value Management (EVM) indicators is primarily related to the nature of randomness or unreliability, in this study, by using Monte Carlo simulation, and assuming a specific distribution for the time an...
introduction: image quality and accuracy of in vivo activity quantification in spect are affected by collimator penetration and scatter components, especially in high energy imaging. these phenomena highly depend on the collimator characteristic and photon energy. the presence of penetrated and scattered photons from collimator in spect images degrades spatial resolution, contrast and image qua...
Light reflectance by semi-infinite turbid media is modeled by a hybrid of Monte Carlo simulation and diffusion theory, which combines the accuracy of Monte Carlo simulation near the source and the speed of diffusion theory distant from the source. For example, when the turbid medium has the following optical properties--absorption coefficient 1 cm-1, scattering coefficient 100 cm-1, anisotropy ...
We propose that the formation of zigzag structures on Si(1 1 0) during anisotropic etching is mainly a result of the formation of inhomogeneous regions in the etchant due to diffusion phenomena. In the same way as the presence of these etchant inhomogeneities results in step bunches on miscut (1 1 1) surfaces, it results in zigzags on the (1 1 0) surface. To support this proposal, we present an...
