We use the heavy quark expansion to investigate the width difference ∆Γ Bs between the B s mass eigenstates. We compute the supersymmetric QCD corrections to the decay distribution of polarized top quarks for the semileptonic decay mode t(↑) → blνl . As a byproduct, we reinvestigate the SUSY-QCD corrections to the total decay width Γ(t → W +b) and resolve a discrepancy between two previous results in the literature.
We present the results of a quenched lattice QCD study of the coupling g, in the static heavy quark limit. After combining this with our previous results obtained by using propagating heavy quarks with a mass around the physical charm quark, we are able to interpolate to the b-quark sector. Recent progress in extending finite temperature lattice QCD simulations from the T axis into the finite density plane is reviewed.
