A novel series of nine indolyl pyrazoline pharmacophore were synthesized by the reaction of hydrazine hydrate derivatives with the synthesized chalcones (C4,C5,C6). The chalcones were synthesized by the Claisen Schimdt condensation method. These pyrazoline derivatives were evaluated for anti-inflammatory activity using Carrageenan induced paw oedema method. The activity profile reveals that the...

The reaction of 2-carboxy-benzaldehyde and hydrazine hydrate unexpectedly yielded the title compound, C(16)H(10)N(2)O(3), which comprises one phthalide ring, one phthalazine system and a chiral centre. The phthalide unit is almost perpendicular to the phthalazine system, forming a dihedral angle of 87.1 (3)°. The packing is governed by weak C-H⋯O hydrogen-bonding inter-actions, forming layers p...

In the title hydrated salt, C(16)H(12)Cl(2)N(3) (+)·Cl(-)·H(2)O, there is a small twist in the cation as seen in the torsion angle linking the benzene ring to the rest of the mol-ecule [171.96 (17)°]. In the crystal, the quinolinium H atom forms a hydrogen bond to the lattice water mol-ecule, which also forms hydrogen bonds to two Cl(-) anions. Each Cl(-) ion also accepts a hydrogen bond from t...

Neat 3,5-dinitro-1H-1,2,4-triazole was obtained in quantitative yield from potassium 3,5-dinitro-1,2,4-triazolate and sulfuric acid. The compound was purified by sublimation in vacuo at 110 °C. Pure HDNT is a hygroscopic white solid that is impact and friction sensitive and decomposes explosively upon heating to 170 °C. However, the presence of impurities might lower the decomposition temperatu...

The new 3,5-(substituted) pyrazoles and isoxazoles were prepared by reaction of (N'(1)E, N'(3)E)- N'(1), N'(3)-bis (3,4,5-substitutedbenzylidene)malonohydrazide with hydrazine hydrate and hydroxylamine hydrochloride respectively under solvothermal conditions involving an ecofriendly method without any environmental pollution, the yield are in the range of 75-96%. The structure of the new compou...

The present paper presents a facile and low-cost hydrothermal method to synthesize stoichiometric FeNi3 alloy nanoparticles by reducing Ni(NO3)2.6H(2)O and Fe(NO3)2.9H(2)O with hydrazine hydrate in strong alkaline media. X-ray diffraction patterns of as-prepared samples synthesized at 180 degrees C for different hydrothermal reaction times reveal that the products are pure stoichiometric FeNi3 ...

The title mol-ecule, C(17)H(20)N(2)O, is a functionalized hydrazine with benzoyl and adamantyl substituents attached to the two hydrazine N atoms. In the crystal, mol-ecules are linked via N-H⋯N hydrogen bonds, forming chains propagating along the a-axis direction. There are also C-H⋯O, C-H⋯N and C-H⋯π inter-actions present within the chains.

The influence of gut microbiota on the toxicity and metabolism of hydrazine has been investigated in germ-free and 'conventional' Sprague Dawley rats using 1H NMR based metabonomic analysis of urine and plasma. Toxicity was more severe in germ-free rats compared with conventional rats for equivalent exposures indicating that bacterial presence altered the nature or extent of response to hydrazi...

Hydrazine derivatives are environmental and food pollutants but are also important because of their use in medicine for the treatment of tuberculosis and cancer. However, hydrazines also pose significant health risks to humans as they are mutagenic and carcinogenic. This review examines various metabolic pathways (enzymatic and non-enzymatic) of hydrazines for the formation of reactive species ...
