The incidence of DIC in 208 dogs with a malignant tumor was evaluated. The incidence of DIC was 9.6% in dogs with a malignant tumor which was a solid tumor in all. In 164 dogs with a malignant solid tumor, the incidence of DIC was 12.2%. The incidence of DIC in dogs with hemangiosarcoma, mammary gland carcinoma and adenocarcinoma of the lung was significantly higher than that in dogs with other...

Angiosarcoma is a neoplasm of an endothelial origin, which could arise from blood or lymphatic vessels, respectively hemangiosarcoma or lymphosarcoma. They account for only 0.1% of adult malignancies and represent 1–2% of all soft tissue sarcomas in humans [1]. Most tumours are malignant and readily give distant metastases because they are composed of rapidly proliferating and extensively infil...
This study demonstrated magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and computed tomography for large-sized splenic hemangiosarcoma. Radiography and ultrasonography revealed the presence of a large-sized soft-tissue mass in the cranial abdomen. Computed tomography showed hypoattenuating mass. The mass was located in contact with liver, spleen and stomach, and the origin of the mass remained ambiguous. The...

Chondrosarcoma (CSA), fibrosarcoma (FSA), and hemangiosarcoma (HSA) are also considered primary bone tumors, although they are diagnosed much less frequently. Other tumors with skeletal involvement, s...
Diagnostic imaging of angiosarcoma and angiosarcoma metastasis has been described as confusing and challenging. We present a rare case of hepatic soft tissue angiosarcoma metastasis, which was diagnosed by contrast enhanced ultrasound (CEUS). The case further exemplifies the ability of CEUS to solve discrepancies between other imaging modalities.
