We present a simple procedure to construct non-local conserved charges for classical open strings on coset spaces. This is done by including suitable reflection matrices on the classical transfer matrix. The reflection matrices must obey certain conditions for the charges to be conserved and in involution. We then study bosonic open strings on AdS5×S. We consider boundary conditions correspondi...
We propose a new protocol providing cryptographically secure authentication to unaided humans against passive adversaries. We also propose a new generic passive attack on human identification protocols. The attack is an application of Coppersmith’s baby-step giantstep algorithm on human identification protcols. Under this attack, the achievable security of some of the best candidates for human ...
Physical Fitness Index (PFI), of fifty Residential (Sainik) School children (Mean +/- SD, 13.18 +/- 0.48 yrs) and forty four Non-Residential school children (Mean +/- SD, 13.15 +/- 0.66 yrs) of Bijapur, Karnataka, was assessed by Harvard Step Test. Their height (cm), weight (kg), chest circumference (cm), and mid arm circumference (cm) were recorded as physical anthropometry. Body Mass Index (B...
We further study the incidence relations that arise from the various subtowers, known as Baby Monsters, which exist within the R-Monster Tower. This allows us to complete the RV T class spelling rules. We also present a method of calculating the various Baby Monsters that appear within the Monster Tower. MSC Primary: 58A30 Secondary: 58A17, 58K50.
SN 2002kg is a type IIn supernova, detected in October 2002 in the nearby spiral galaxy NGC 2403. We show that the position of SN 2002kg agrees within the errors with the position of the LBV V37. Ground based and HST ACS images however show that V37 is still present after the SN 2002kg event. We compiled a lightcurve of V37 which underlines the variablity of the object, and shows that SN 2002kg...
We investigate the possibility to detect giant planets that are still embedded in young circumstellar disks. Based on models with different stellar, planetary, and disk masses, and different radial positions of the planet we analyze the resulting submillimeter appearance of these systems. We find that the influence of the planet on the spectral energy distribution could not be distinguished fro...
We have searched 310 hadronic 2 decays for evidence of new quarks and leptons. We set lower mass limits of 40.7 GeV/c2 for top, 45 GeV/c2 for bottom prime, and 42.4 GeV/c2 for a heavy neutral lepton assuming their decays are predominantly via the charged current. Limits are also set for other decay modes and for mixtures of decay modes. Extended version of paper presented at the International E...
A prominent theoretical controversy in the compensating differentials literature concerns unobservable individual productivity. Competing models yield opposite predictions depending on whether the unobservable productivity is safety-related skill or productivity generally. Using five panel waves and several new measures of worker fatality risks, first-difference estimates imply that omitting in...
Bioinformatics testing approaches for protein allergenicity, involving amino acid sequence comparisons, have evolved appreciably over the last several years to increased sophistication and performance. EVALLER, the web server presented in this article is based on our recently published ‘Detection based on Filtered Length-adjusted Allergen Peptides’ (DFLAP) algorithm, which affords in silico det...
