We present results of searches for new physics in final states with photons at CDF in approximately 1fb of pp̄ collisions at 1.96 TeV. We give an overview of the data-driven photon background estimation techniques used for the analyses. We present analytic results for first order radiative QCD corrections to e+e− annihilation processes into quarks and gluons under the special aspect of polarized final state particles. This aspect involves single-spin polarization, gluon polarization, and the correlation between quark spins for massive final state quarks.
