the intuitionistic fuzzy set has been applied to game theory very rarely since it was introduced by atanassov in 1983. the aim of this paper is to develop an effective methodology for solving matrix games with payoffs of atanassov’s triangular intuitionistic fuzzy numbers (tifns). in this methodology, the concepts and ranking order relations of atanassov’s tifns are defined. a pair of bi-object...

The purpose of this review article is to characterize all of the parameters regarding the types, polymers used, and release kinetics of matrix tablets. Matrix system was the earliest oral extended release platform for medicinal use. Matrix tablets are most commonly used methods to modulate the release profile of drugs. They are much desirable and preferred for such therapy because they o...

The merging of polynomial curves is frequently required when modeling the complex shape in geometric design and related applications. In this paper, we present an effective method for the CGmerging of two Bézier curves by using matrix computation. By minimizing the distance function defined in terms of control points, the optimal merged curve is obtained and expressed in the matrix form. Due to...

As the human population expands, landscapes worldwide are becoming fragmented into remnant patches of original habitat, surrounded by agriculture and other human land uses. With diminishing opportunities to preserve large tracts of pristine habitat, the future of biodiversity conservation lies increasingly in these fragmented areas. Therefore, understanding the processes at work in fragmented l...

General purpose computation on graphics processing unit (GPU) is prominent in the high performance computing era of this time. Porting or accelerating the data parallel applications onto GPU gives the default performance improvement because of the increased computational units. Better performances can be seen if application specific fine tuning is done with respect to the architecture under con...

Recent theoretical studies of chaotic scattering have encounted ensembles of random matrices in which the eigenvalue probability density function contains a one-body factor with an exponent proportional to the number of eigenvalues. Two such ensembles have been encounted: an ensemble of unitary matrices specified by the so-called Poisson kernel, and the Laguerre ensemble of positive definite ma...

When performing sparse matrix factorization, the ordering of matrix rows and columns has a dramatic impact on the factorization time. This paper describes an approach to the reordering problem that produces signiicantly better orderings than previous methods. The algorithm is a hybrid of nested dissection and minimum degree ordering, and combines an assortment of algorithmic techniques.

We show that a matrix game within groups in a finite-island model is effectively equivalent to a matrix game in a well-mixed population. The effective game matrix is a sum of interaction effects minus competition effects, weighted by identity measures involving up to three individuals. These identity measures are computed in the absence of selection but depend on the selection regime and the di...

Symmetric Nonnegative Matrix Factorization (SNMF) models arise naturally as simple reformulations of many standard clustering algorithms including the popular spectral clustering method. Recent work has demonstrated that an elementary instance of SNMF provides superior clustering quality compared to many classic clustering algorithms on a variety of synthetic and real world data sets. In this w...

The properties of open quantum systems are described well by an effective Hamiltonian H that consists of two parts: the Hamiltonian H of the closed system with discrete eigenstates and the coupling matrix W between discrete states and continuum. The eigenvalues of H determine the poles of the S matrix. The coupling matrix elements W(cc')(k) between the eigenstates k of H and the continuum may b...
