Predicting potential fertility and eventual egg hatchability in chickens can be done by evaluating the quality of semen. This study's objective was to describe semen characteristics three different age groups Horasi chicken ecotype cocks (24-32, 28-36, 32-40 weeks). From 20 cocks; 6 (24-32 weeks), (28-36 8 (32-40 weeks) over course four weeks (5-29th Dec 2022), 80 samples total were taken. Sper...
in order to evaluate drought tolerance of some aegilops triuncialis ecotypes a factorial experiment based on a completely randomized design was conducted under non-stress and drought stress (irrigation until 50% of heading) condition in the greenhouse of mohaghegh ardabili university in 2012. drought tolerance and susceptibility indices for grain yield were calculated and principal component an...
Honey bees collect the main material of propolis from buds, leaves, branches, and barks or other botanical sources mixed that resinous with beeswax produced abdominal exocrine glands, mandibular gland secretions, pollen to produce propolis. The composition changes depends on multiple factors such as honey bee races, geographical locations, phytogeography, harvesting seasons, extraction methods ...
Rosa damascena as a holy ancient plant with modern uses in perfumery and therapeutic processes, should be more investigated due to its utilization food ingredients, preclinical clinical studies, cosmetics industry. Here, we have evaluated the proline content, total phenol of sepal petal, oil essential (EO) composition different damask rose ecotypes [(Oroumieh; OR), (Golab; GB), (Oskou; OS), (Lo...
We sequenced the genomes of five new Methylophilaceae strains isolated from Lake Washington sediment. We used the new sequences to sort these new strains into specific Methylophilaceae ecotypes, including one novel ecotype. The new genomes expand the known diversity of Methylophilaceae and provide new models for studying the ecology of methylotrophy.
Switchgrass (Panicum virgatum L.) is an important native grass and dominant member of the tallgrass prairie ecosystem. It is used for conservation, restoration, livestock feed production, and bioenergy feedstock production. The purpose of this review is to describe the biological and geographical basis for switchgrass germplasm diversity and to provide a resource for scientists and outreach per...
Honeycomb mass selection design have been used in a genetic broad based ecotype of Alfalfa to assess its efficiency in yield improvement through two cycles of selection. The selection intensities used were: 14.26%, 7.69% and 5.26% in the first and 14.26%, 7.69%, 5.26%, 2%, 3.22%, 2.77% in the second cycle of selection. According to the results obtained from field trials it was concluded that th...
Bacteria are profoundly different from eukaryotes in their patterns of genetic exchange. Nevertheless, ecological diversity is organized in the same way across all of life: individual organisms fall into more less discrete clusters on the basis of their phenotypic, ecological, and DNA sequence characteristics. Each sequence cluster in the bacterial world appears to correspond to an "ecotype," d...
