X-band electron spin resonance (ESR) and electronic spectra of oxalatobridged heterodinuclear Cu-Ni and Cu-Zn complexes, viz., [(PMDT)Cu-Ox-Ni(PMDT)](BPh(4))(2).2CH(3)CN and [(PMDT)Cu-Ox-Zn(PMDT)](BPh(4))(2).2CH(3)CN, where PMDT=pentamethyldiethylenetriamine, Ox=oxalate ion have been described. Complex [(PMDT)Cu-Ox-Ni(PMDT)](BPh(4))(2).2CH(3)CN has been structurally characterized. This complex ...

The metal–organic framework CuI-MFU-4l reacts with NO, initially forming a copper(I)-nitrosyl at low pressure, and subsequently generates NO disproportionation products CuII–NO2 N2O. thermal stability of MFU-4l allows NOx to be released from the temperatures greater than 200 °C. This treatment regenerates original CuI-MFU-4l, which can engage in subsequent cycles disproportionation.

It is demonstrated here that tridentate imine ligands can control the nuclearity of copper(II) complexes based on the donor atoms present in the ligand. The N,N',N''-donating imine ligand led to a mononuclear compound, namely di-chlorido-[N,N-dimethyl-N'-(pyridin-2-yl-methyl-idene)ethane-1,2-di-amine]copper(II) monohydrate, [CuCl2(C10H15N3)]·H2O, 1, while the N,N',O-donating imine ligand produc...
