In this paper we prove a common fixed point theorem for two fuzzy mappings defined on metric spaces. These mappings are assumed to satisfy certain contractive inequality involving functions which are generalizations of altering distance functions. We also note that this fuzzy fixed point result is derivable from a multi-valued fixed point result.

In this paper, we introduce multivalued contractive mappings of Feng-Liu type in complete fuzzy metric spaces. We prove fixed point theorems for such mappings in the context of fuzzy metric spaces. We provide with an example to show that our results are more general than previously obtained results in the literature.

The purpose of this paper is to prove a general fixed point theorem by altering distance for two pairs of hybrid occasionally weakly compatible mappings and to reduce the study of fixed points of pairs of mappings satisfying a contractive condition of integral type at the study of fixed point in symmetric spaces by altering distance satisfying an implicit relation.

In this paper, we will establish some xed point results for two pairs of self mappings satisfying generalized contractive condition by using a new concept as weak subsequential continuity with compatibility of type (E) in metric spaces, as an application the existence of unique common solution for a system of functional equations arising in system programming is proved.

In this paper, we establish a coincidence and a common fixed point for a pair of weakly compatible mappings under (ψ, φ)weakly contractive condition in G-metric spaces. We prove the existence of the unique common fixed point theorems for self mappings which are weakly compatible satisfying some contractive conditions on partial metric spaces. Furthermore, we also prove the result on the continuity in the set of common fixed points for self mappings on partial metric spaces.

Existence of common fixed points is established for two self-mappings satisfying a generalized contractive condition. In this work we introduce the class of weakly c-contractive mappings. We establish that these mappings necessarily have unique fixed points in complete metric spaces. We support our result by an example. Our result also generalises an existing result in metric spaces.
