We have used positron emission tomography to investigate the cortical areas of the normal human brain involved in processing inward (Expansion) and outward (Contraction) radial motion simulated with an optic flow stimulus. The optical flow display was made out of dots moving radially away from or toward the center of the display monitor. In the Control condition, the dots' motion was randomized...

In this paper, we prove some unique fixed point theorems for a fuzzy mapping T satisfying certain rational contraction condition in a partially ordered metric space. Our results generalize some existing result.

In this paper, we prove the existence and uniqueness of a coupled best proximity point for mappings satisfying the proximally coupled contraction condition in a complete ordered metric space. Further, our result provides an extension of a result

English auxiliary contraction has a rich history in the linguistic literature, with analyses spanning four decades’ worth of work (e.g. Zwicky, 1970, Bresnan, 1978, Kaisse, 1983, Inkelas & Zec, 1993, Anderson, 2008). However, with the exception of work in the sociolinguistic domain (e.g. Labov, 1969, McElhinny, 1993, Walker & Meechan, 1999), work on contraction has relied exclusively on authors...

In this paper, by using C-class functions, we will present a coupled …xed problem in b-metric space for the single-valued operators satisfying a generalized contraction condition. First part of the paper is related to some …xed point theorems, the second part presents the uniqueness and existence for the solution of the coupled …xed point problem and in the third part we...

‎in this paper, based on [a. razani, v. rako$check{c}$evi$acute{c}$ and z. goodarzi, nonself mappings in modular spaces and common fixed point theorems, cent. eur. j. math. 2 (2010) 357-366.] a fixed point theorem for non-self contraction mapping $t$ in the modular space $x_rho$ is presented. moreover, we study a new version of krasnoseleskii's fixed point theorem for $s+t$, where $t$ is a cont...

In the existing literature, Banach contraction theorem as well Meir-Keeler fixed point were extended to fuzzy metric spaces. However, extensions require strong additional assumptions. The purpose of this paper is determine a class spaces in which both theorems remain true without need any condition. We demonstrate wide validity new class.
