Case presentation: Guillain-Barré Syndrome (GBS) is an acute polyradiculopathy that occurs frequently following infectious diseases, which can lead to immune response nerve antigens, resulting in demyelination and/or axonal damage. Below, we will report 4 clinical cases of GBS associated with previous SARS-Cov-2 pediatric patients. One patient was diagnosed COVID by PCR testing and three serolo...

Acute disseminated encephalomyelitis following seasonal influenza vaccination in an elderly patient.
Although such occurrences are rare, it should be recognized that certain vaccines might trigger serious neurological immune phenomena such as Guillain-Barre syndrome, seizures, cranial neuropathy, and acute disseminated encephalomyelitis (ADEM). Here we report on an elderly woman with ADEM following seasonal influenza vaccination who recovered after plasma exchange.
Zika virus is an emerging human pathogen of great concern due to putative links to microcephaly and Guillain-Barre syndrome. Here, we report the complete genomes, including the 5' and 3' untranslated regions, of five Zika virus isolates, one from the Asian lineage and four from the African lineage.
Guillain-Barre Syndrome is a well described acute demyelinating polyradiculoneuropathy with a likely autoimmune basis characterized by progressive ascending muscle paralysis. Classically, GBS is attributed to antecedent upper respiratory and gastrointestinal infections. We present the first case of GBS after Robotically Assisted Laparoscopic Prostatectomy using the daVinci(®) Surgical System.
introduction:guillain-barre syndrome(gbs) is the most common cause of acute flaccid paralysis. respiratory failure is the most serious short-term complication of gbs and invasive mechanical ventilation is required in 30% of patients.moreover,60% of those who are intubated develop major complications including pnemonia, sepsis,gi bleeding and pulmonary embolism. thus respiratory failure predictio...
