A path graph is the intersection graph of subpaths of a tree. In 1970, Renz asked for a characterization of path graphs by forbidden induced subgraphs. We answer this question by determining the complete list of graphs that are not path graphs and are minimal with this property. 2009 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. J Graph Theory 62: 369–384, 2009

The concentration of 2,3-diphosphoglycerate in erythrocytes was determined in 369 male and 376 female normal subjects, 1 to 86 years of age, derived from the Greek population. It was inversely correlated (P less than 0.01) with age. Persons over age 60 showed a decrease (P less than 0.05) in 2,3-diphosphoglycerate concentrations as compared those 1-20 years of age.

The N-methyl-D-aspartate (NMDA) subtype of excitatory glutamate receptors plays critical roles in embryonic and adult synaptic plasticity in the central nervous system. The receptor is a heteromultimer of core subunits, NR1, and one or more regulatory subunits, NR2A-D. Protein phosphorylation can regulate NMDA receptor function (Lieberman, D. N., and Mody, I.
