Polycrystalline C60 has been intercalated with 99 atom % 13C-enriched CO gas by using highpressure, high-temperature synthesis. The ratio of 13CO to C60 is determined using 13C NMR under magicangle spinning and is found to be almost 1:2. Static solid-state 13C NMR spectra of 13CO-intercalated C60 have been measured in the range between room temperature and 4 K. In the high-temperature range, i....
The binding site interactions between the phosphorylcholine (phosphocholine)-binding mouse myeloma proteins TEPC 15, W3207, McPC 603, MOPC 167, and MOPC 511 and the isotopically substituted hapten phosphoryl[methyl-13C]choline have been investigated using 13C and 31P nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectroscopy. Each protein exhibits a unique NMR pattern, but extensive similarities in chemical...
Reagents were obtained from commercial suppliers and used as received. Lipase preparation PSIm was purchased from Amano Enzyme Inc. The other lipases were purchased from Sigma-Aldrich. 1H-NMR and 13C-NMR data were recorded on a Bruker Avance 400 (100) MHz and/or a Bruker Avance 500 (125) MHz, respectively. Chemical shifts are reported as δ values (ppm) with CDCl3 (1H-NMR δ 7.26, 13C-NMR δ 77.16...
Thirty three compounds were obtained from the bulbs of Urginea maritima (Liliaceae). The compounds were identified by means of fast atom bombardment mass spectrometry (FAB-MS), nuclear magnetic resonance (1H-NMR), (13C-NMR), nuclear overhauser effects (NOE) and two dimensional (2D) NMR. Ten of them were new natural compounds. Nine were bufadienolides and only one was lignan in these compounds.
By simply heating mixtures of alpha-cyclodextrins and dumbbell-like poly(ethylene glycol) derivatives at 120 degrees C, polyrotaxanes form spontaneously via reversible chain exchange between acylhydrazone bonds, which have been proven by analyses of diffusion-ordered NMR, WAXD, 1H NMR, solid-state 13C CP/MAS NMR, DSC and UV-Vis together.
A green chemistry approach has been adopted for the synthesis of thirty-four new picolinium-based ionic liquids using microwave (MW) and ultrasound (US) irradiation as well as conventional thermal heating. Their structures were confirmed by FT-IR, 1H NMR, 13C NMR, 11B NMR, 19F NMR, 31P NMR, mass spectra and elemental analyses. The antimicrobial profile of the novel ionic liquids was evaluated a...
Nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) is a fundamental spectroscopic technique for the study of biological systems and materials, molecular imaging and the analysis of small molecules. It detects interactions at very low energies and is thus non-invasive and applicable to a variety of targets, including animals and humans. However, one of its most severe limitations is its low sensitivity, which ste...
Great spectral simplification can be obtained by spreading the conventional one-dimensional nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectrum in two independent frequency dimensions. This so-called two-dimensional NMR spectroscopy removes spectral overlap, facilitates spectral assignment, and provides a wealth of additional information. For example, conformational information related to interproton dis...
