In this paper, Ultra-wideband (UWB) multiple access relay channel with correlated noises at the relay and receiver is investigated. We obtain outer and inner bounds for the IEEE 802.15.3a UWB multiple access relay channel, and also, a diversity gain bound. Finally, we evaluate some results numerically and show that noise correlation coefficients play important role in determining relay position.

in ultra-wideband (uwb) multistatic microwave breast cancer imaging, the long imaging time is an important issue. in this paper, a novel imaging method for multistatic uwb radarbased microwave breast cancer imaging using sparse sampling has been proposed that significantly reduces the amount of data and imaging time. in this method, instead of measuring multistatic radar signals conventionally,...

Radio communications via channels already occupied by traditional telecommunication systems can be achieved by using ultrawideband (UWB) radio where extremely wideband wavelets are used in order to reduce the power spectral density (psd) of transmitted signal. Since the recovery of these UWB carriers is not feasible, noncoherent demodulation techniques have to be used. The letter evaluates and ...

Ultra-wideband (UWB) communication is an emerging technology that offers short range, high data rate wireless transmission, with low power consumption and low consumer cost. Operating in the 3.1 GHz 10.6 GHz frequency band with bandwidth above 500 MHz, it is an overlay technology that can co-exist with other narrowband services in the same frequency range, thus alleviating the problem of over-c...

Ultra wideband (UWB) radio technology is nowadays one of the most promising technologies for medium-short range communications. It has a wide range of applications including wireless sensor networks (WSN) with simultaneous data transmission and location tracking. The combination of location and data transmission is important in order to increase flexibility and reduce the cost and complexity of...

A promising coherent Impulse-Radio Ultra-Wideband (IR-UWB) communication system with one relay. IR-UWB communications attracted significant attention as a strong candidate solution for short-range high data-rate applications. UWB is a modulation and data transmission method which has potential to change the wireless picture entirely in future. The non-orthogonal cooperation in narrow-band wirel...

Impulse Radio Ultra-wideband (IR-UWB) is a modern radio technology that uses modulated pulses to transmit information and works at extremely low energy levels. It is popularly used in short-range, low power and low cost communications such as vehicular ad-hoc networks (VANETs), RFIDs and wireless sensor networks (WSN). This paper presents the design and implementation of an IR-UWB Transceiver u...

Ultra-Wideband1 (UWB) is a radio transmission scheme that uses extremely low power pulses of radio energy spread across a wide spectrum of frequencies. UWB has several advantages over conventional continuous wave radio communications including potential support for high data rates, robustness to multipath interference and fading. We present an overview of UWB technology and its use in data comm...

This paper presents a low power impulse-radio ultra-wideband (IR-UWB) receiver based on a reconfigurable, high speed analog correlator called distributed pulse correlator (DPC). The DPC incorporates built-in local template pulse generation, and hence significantly reduces the power consumption and circuit complexity of the analog correlation receiver. A chip prototype of the IR-UWB receiver was...
