A case of partial splenic embolisation (PSE) that was performed in a girl with severe leucothrombocytopenia due to hypersplenism is described. We present a case of a 2 year old apparently healthy child who presented with fever and mass on the mitral valve. Excision histopathology of the mass revealed mucormycosis.
