We discuss collective spin-wave excitations in triplet superconductors with an easy axis anisotropy for the order parameter. Using a microscopic model for interacting electrons, we estimate the frequency of such excitations in Bechgaard salts and ruthenate superconductors to be 1 and 20 GHz, respectively. We introduce an effective bosonic model to describe spin-wave excitations and calculate th...

Nonlinear magnetization dynamics is essential for the operation of numerous spintronic devices ranging from magnetic memory to spin torque microwave generators. Examples are microwave-assisted switching of magnetic structures and the generation of spin currents at low bias fields by high-amplitude ferromagnetic resonance. Here we use X-ray magnetic circular dichroism to determine the number den...

Spin-wave instability for parallel pumping is studied theoretically. The spin-wave instability threshold is calculated in ferromagnetic thin films under oblique field which has an oblique angle to the film plane. The butterfly curve of the threshold usually has a cusp at a certain value of the static external field. While the static field value of the cusp point varies as the oblique angle chan...

Using a one-orbital model of hole-doped manganites, we show with the help of the Holstein-Primakov transformation that finite Hund's coupling is responsible for the spin-wave softening in the ferromagnetic B-phase manganites. We obtain an analytical result for the spin-wave spectrum for [Formula: see text]. In the limit of infinite Hund's coupling, the spectrum is the conventional nearest-neigh...

We develop an atomistic spin-lattice-dynamics model for simulating energy relaxation in magnetic materials. The model explicitly solves equations of motion for the atoms and spins, and includes interaction with electron excitations. We apply the model to simulate the dynamics of propagation of a compressive elastic wave in iron. We find that coupling between the lattice, spin, and electron degr...

The generation of dark spin wave envelope soliton trains from a continuous wave input signal due to spontaneous modulational instability has been observed for the first time. The dark soliton trains were formed from high dispersion dipole-exchange spin waves propagated in a thin yttrium iron garnet film with pinned surface spins at frequencies situated near the dipole gaps in the dipole-exchang...

Results are presented of the spin-parity analysis on a sample of centrally produced mesons in the reaction pp → pslow(KsKs)pfast with 800 GeV protons on liquid hydrogen. The spin-parity analysis in the mass region between threshold and 1.58 GeV/c shows that the KsKs system is produced mainly in S wave. The f0(1500) is clearly observed in this region. Above 1.58 GeV/c two solution are possible, ...

We have investigated the spin-wave spectrum of copper metaborate, CuB 2 O 4 , by means of inelastic neutron scattering in the commensurate magnetic phase. We have found two branches of spin-wave excitations associated with the two magnetic sublattices Cu(A) and Cu(B), respectively. In the temperature regime 10K ≤ T ≤ 21K, where only the Cu(A) magnetic moments are ordered, the interaction betwee...

We analyze free conformal higher spin actions and the corresponding wave operators in arbitrary even dimensions and backgrounds. We show that the wave operators do not factorize in general, and identify the Weyl tensor and its derivatives as the obstruction to factorization. We give a manifestly factorized form for them on (A)dS backgrounds for arbitrary spin and on Einstein backgrounds for spi...

We study edge states of noncentrosymmetric superconductors where spin-singlet d-wave pairing mixes with spin-triplet p (or f)-wave one by spin-orbit coupling. For d(xy)-wave pairing, the obtained Andreev bound state has an anomalous dispersion as compared to conventional helical edge modes. A unique topologically protected time-reversal invariant Majorana bound state appears at the edge. The ch...
