Consider a set of single-input, single-output nonlinear systems whose input–output maps are described only in terms convergent Chen–Fliess series without any assumption that finite dimensional state space models available. It is shown additive or multiplicative interconnection such always has representation can be computed explicitly iterated formal Lie derivatives.

Considering the network structure is one of the new approaches in studying stochastic PERT networks (SPN). In this paper, planar networks are studied as a special class of networks. Two structural reducible mechanisms titled arc contraction and deletion are developed to convert any planar network to a series-parallel network structure.&#10In series-parallel SPN, the completion time distribution...

In this work, two parametric L-Systems have been introduced to generate the figures of two series of nanostructures. These series consist of different spherical fullerenes with various number of carbon atoms. By specifying a parameter in each series a spherical fullerene can be determined. The members of the first series are C60 , C240 , C540 , C940 ,… which can be produced by applying paramete...

B-series, together with the algebraic system which underpins them, are essential tools in the study of properties of numerical methods for evolutionary problems. This paper surveys the properties of these constructs and relates the theory to applications in numerical analysis. c © 2010 European Society of Computational Methods in Sciences and Engineering

We discuss the effects of the δ2 and Lubkin acceleration methods on the partial sums of Fourier Series. We construct continuous, even Hölder continuous functions, for which these acceleration methods fail to give convergence. The constructed functions include some interesting trigonometric series whose properties were investigated by Hardy and Littlewood.
